Dale Mulhall, OD
Dr. Mulhall attained his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 1981 and founded Family Optical in 1983. He currently sits on the Board of Examiners for the Manitoba Association of Optometrists (MAO) and is past-chair of the Regulatory Advisory Committee (RAC), which was responsible for drafting therapeutic drug legislation. Dale’s hobbies include golf, fishing and spending time with wife Lauren, at their cottage.
Terry Falconer, OD
Dr. Falconer completed his degree at the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo in 1983 and joined Family Optical in 1989. He served as Chair of the Manitoba Association of Optometrists Complaints Committee for several years. Terry enjoys the outdoor life, especially hunting and fishing; he and his wife, Joanne, have a cottage in the Whiteshell.
Paul Pambrun, OD
Dr. Paul Pambrun was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he attended the University of Manitoba and received a B.Sc in zoology and microbiology. He graduated from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2011. During his last year of optometry school, Dr. Pambrun completed his studies via clinical rotations which included ocular disease, pediatric eye examination, specialty contact lens fitting, primary care, and low vision consultation. He is a proud member of the Manitoba Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. He is fluent in both French and English.
Alyson Sas, OD
Dr. Sas attended the University of Winnipeg where she received her Bachelor of Science in biology in 2010. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2014, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. During her final year of studies, Dr. Sas completed her clinical externships in different locations in Canada and the United States. During her externships in Canada, she completed rotations in primary care, pediatrics, ocular disease, binocular vision, low vision and contact lenses. She developed her passion for the diagnosis and management of ocular disease during her rotations at the John D. Dingell VA Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and the Health Sciences Optometry Clinic in Kitchener, Ontario. Dr. Sas enjoys staying active with running and practicing yoga.
Colleen Mulhall, OD
Dr. Colleen Mulhall graduated from the University of Waterloo optometry program in 2017. During her studies, she united her love of travel and healthcare and journeyed to Utah (USA), Malawi (Africa), all over the
island of Jamaica and to the tiny mill town of Port Alberni, British Columbia. In her final term of studies, she discovered an interest in treating concussions and hopes to further her knowledge in the area. In her free time, you will likely find her reading, but if she's doing something else, it might be writing, traveling, swimming, scuba diving, studying Spanish, planning her next trip or locating the best grub in town. She looks forward to seeing your eyeballs!
Blake Chartier, OD
Dr. Blake Chartier graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2017 on the Dean’s Honour List. He was also recipient of the Karen Tompa Nowy Memorial Award for avocation of treatment, and excellence in patient care. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Chartier completed his undergraduate Honours Science degree at the University of Waterloo on a scholarship with the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team. During his final year of optometric studies, Dr. Chartier completed several clinical externships in both Canada and the United States. Included in those studies is time at the John D. Dingell VA Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he received extensive exposure to the diagnosis and management of various ocular disease. He also spent time at our clinic as an intern providing primary care. Away from the office, Dr. Chartier enjoys playing hockey, golf and spending time at the lake.
